Running from November 11 through December 16, 2024, the Ekotek Avalanche Hackathon is organized around 4 phases, ensuring that developers can engage in a variety of activities within a competition, from learning to coding.
Phase 1: Kick-off and registration (November 11-14, 2024)
This initial phase opens the door for Ekotek developers to sign up and get ready to dive into the hackathon. It’s time to rally your skills, gather your ideas, and be part of Ekotek’s biggest tech challenge of the year!
Phase 2: Avalanche bootcamp – Learn and earn (November 18-24, 2024)
Next comes the Avalanche Bootcamp! Led by experts, this Bootcamp is designed to introduce participants to the Avalanche ecosystem. Developers will be equipped with essential knowledge and tools to build on the Avalanche blockchain. This phase is crucial for those new to the ecosystem or looking to enhance their skills, giving developers a solid foundation for building projects on Avalanche. There are 7 courses:
- Avalanche fundamentals
- Multi-chain architecture
- Avalanche interchain messaging
- Interchain token transfer
- Customizing the EVM
- Layer 1 tokenomics
- AvaCloud
Phase 3: Code to Innovate (November 25 – December 13, 2024)
Following the bootcamp, participants will have 3 intensive weeks to build their projects. From November 25 to December 13, teams can use everything they’ve learned to bring their ideas to life. The deadline for project submissions is December 16, marking the end of this phase and preparing teams for the ultimate challenge: presenting their work to a panel of expert judges.
Phase 4: Demo day – Pitch your vision
On December 17, teams will pitch their projects to an esteemed panel of judges, showcasing their innovations, technical prowess, and problem-solving creativity. This is the moment to demonstrate how your project can make an impact using Avalanche’s technology.
